If so, we have a place for you. As the 2012 BEST season kicks off, we are looking for students in the Oak Mountain area interested in join our team. Meetings are generally Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturdays, August through October. If you are interested in learning more, visit our Join the Team page for details.

 

Sponsorships

We are looking for individuals or companies interested in sponsoring the 2012 Oak Mountain High-Tech Solutions robotics team. We need sponsors who can donate materials, time or finances to this year’s competition. To learn more about sponsoring our team along with reasons to contribute, visit the Sponsorship page. BlazerBEST is the local hub for BEST Robotics. This is the fifth year the UAB School of Engineer has hosted the BEST robotics competition. Schools from around Alabama come to the campus of UAB and Bartow Arena to compete for a spot in the regional competitions at South's BEST in Auburn. Learn more about the UAB BlazerBEST Hub

Auburn University
South’s BEST is one of three championships of BEST Robotics, Inc. and hosts 50 winning teams from competition sites in Illinois, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama each December. Over 3500 students, teachers, team mentors, parents, and other supporters attend the two-day event. South’s BEST is free and everyone is welcomed! Learn more about South's BEST

BEST is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization whose mission is to inspire students to pursue careers in engineering, science, and technology through participation in a sports-like, science and engineering-based robotics competition. BEST features two parallel competitions: A robotics game, which is based upon an annual theme and the BEST Award, which is presented to the team that best embodies the concept of Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology. Engineers and other technical professionals from local industries serve as team mentors who advise and guide students through the design and construction of their machines. Learn more about BEST Inc.
